An environmentally
responsible brand

Reduction of our ecological footprint thanks to a rational use of resources

The Eau Thermale Avène brand is developing a voluntary energy saving program, a policy for responsible purchasing and eco-design integrated into the packaging development process:

  • 11 tons of plastic saved per year after reducing the basis weight of our Essentials care line.
  • 450 tons of CO2 eliminated by reducing energy consumption by 23% per ton of product produced.
  • 100% of our electricity use comes from renewable energy sources, with no direct CO2 emissions.
  • 90% of our waste is recycled.
  • The last expansion made for aerosol
    production was part of an
    experimental High Quality
    Environmental approach.

Adopt these good habits in your bathroom

Roll over the items and discover tips.
Adopt the principle of « double data rate » :

Economic water flushes now offer two debits: 3 or 6 liters of water. In Canada, a person uses 100 liters of water per day for their toilet, or 30% of their daily consumption.

Shower instead of bathing!

A 5 minute shower uses 60 to 80 liters of water and a bath 150 to 200 liters. Take a shower instead of a bath, it is dividing by at least one third its water consumption.

Have the good sense when you are washing: Remember to close the water to not let it run unnecessarily.
Remember to turn off the tap when you don't need water.

If we let the water flow while brushing teeth or shaving, there are 18 liters of water lost.

Beware of valves that are badly closed!

A dripping tap can add up to 300 liters of wasted water.

Packaging are recyclable.

Remember to throw them into your recycling bin.
