Our tips for your skin
The confidence of healthy skin
The hands, like the lips, are areas that are naturally low in protective lipids.
In the winter, these areas are constantly exposed to cold and wind, which makes them even more vulnerable. They therefore require special care to face winter without losing comfort and softness.
To pamper them, Laboratoires Dermatologiques Avène has reinvented the traditional Cold Cream formula with its nourishing, protective and softening properties, notably by replacing rose water with Avène Thermal Spring Water, with its recognised soothing properties. Cold Cream is thus adapted to sensitive skin, to offer you a complete response (and range).
To care for skin weakened by the cold
Delicate, hypersensitive... With the cold weather, our lips are put to the harshest test.
Cold Cream Avène: a combination of ingredients from European pharmacopoeia brings soothing, nourishing protection to dry or very dry lips in order to relieve them and guarantee comfort even in intense conditions. With it, your lips will never be cold.
Melting, creamy, soothing... Intense Nourishing Lip Balm is the crème de la crème to envelop your lips in an entirely new sensation of comfort with a subtle luminous finish! Its rich, melting texture, its comforting scent and its simple travel-size jar also make it totally addictive.
Rich in moisturizing active ingredients, the Concentrated Hand Cream restores suppleness and comfort to dry hands and protects them from external aggressions. Highly concentrated in Avène Cold Cream, this nourishing hand cream with its enveloping texture and light fragrance leaves hands with a soft, non-greasy and non-sticky finish. Perfect for slipping on your winter gloves right after application!
TESTED AND APPROVED
I love it! My mother used it and still uses it. She’s the one who introduced me to it. And this cream is perfect because in the winter, my hands dry out very quickly and get sore. I recommend it to people who have dry skin like me and/or just for the pleasure of its smell and softness.

A legendary formula with unparalleled effectiveness
Used for centuries, the Cold Cream-based formulation is a safe bet for dry skin. Its secret? It preserves the skin's hydrolipidic film (its protective shield) thanks to a mixture, created in the 2nd century, of beeswax, sweet almond oil, rose water and sodium borate. Even though its composition may vary, it’s always about protecting the skin by using the most protective and nourishing assets nature has to offer.
Our Laboratories have modernised this care product to adapt it to the most sensitive skin, thanks to a natural formula combining mineral oil and beeswax to reinforce the skin barrier and, of course, Avène Thermal Spring Water with its soothing and softening properties.
Throughout the range, Avène Cold Cream thus provides comprehensive, highly nourishing protection for the lips, hands and dry skin. Tested in extreme cold conditions (down to -25°C), the Cold Cream range resists the lowest temperatures and provides comfort and nourishment in the most extreme conditions.
Cold Cream is suitable for use by the whole family: infants, children and adults. Thanks to its richness in white beeswax, this care product protects baby's skin from external aggressions and provides an immediate sensation of comfort.
To protect the lips of children aged 2 and over from external aggressions, Cold Cream Nourishing Lip Balm is perfect.
The traditional formula has been modernised to offer both deep nourishment and excellent sensoriality. Based on our formulation expertise, we offer nourishing yet non-sticky products perfectly suited for daily use.
Yes, Cold Cream lip care products will serve as a moisturizing and protective base. Your lips will be softer, more comfortable and ready for you to apply lipstick, which will enhance them even more!
