High and low molecular weight: what is the difference?
High molecular weight hyaluronic acid (HPM) is a molecule that, due to its large size, cannot penetrate the epidermis and thus acts only on the surface of the skin. It provides skin with a plump, moisturised appearance.
Low molecular weight hyaluronic acid (HAF 120), on the other hand, acts deeper. Perfectly compatible with keratinocyte receptors, it maximises the synthesis of hyaluronic acid in the skin and firms skin.
