    Based on a person’s date of birth, we can determine their chronological age. Simply corresponding to the number of years lived, this universal measurement is independent of the individual and their environment. But what about their biological age, do we truly know it?

    Biological age refers to the physiological state of the body. Reflecting the cumulative effects of lifestyle, genetics, and environmental factors, this multifactorial measure provides a much more accurate assessment of cellular vitality and function.

    Measuring biological aging and thus the skin’s true age is a key step in developing innovative skincare solutions backed by cutting-edge research and advanced technologies.

    Thanks to large-scale knowledge-based research and skin biopsies, Pierre Fabre R&D has been able to determine the biological age of a sample group.

    Retinal is the direct precursor of retinoic acid, the most active form of vitamin A allowed in cosmetics. Retinal is 3x more effective than retinol*.

    Retinal has been shown to be a well-tolerated active ingredient. Our 30 years of experience in cosmetovigilance support its safety profile. Additionally, all products in the Hyaluron Activ Procedure range have been tested and approved for post-procedure tolerance (peeling, laser, injections).

    However, every skin is unique and may react differently. That’s why we recommend a gradual introduction. Start with one to two applications per week during the first two weeks, then gradually increase to once daily, preferably in the evening, depending on your skin’s tolerance.

    To maximize the effectiveness of our products, we use the highest concentration of Retinal: 0.1%. As a result, the Lifting Cream should be used only once a day.

    Retinal, the star active ingredient in the range, is naturally bright yellow.
    We have chosen not to add any colorants to our formulas in order to preserve the natural color of this ingredient.
    It may leave a residual tint on the skin or fabrics, which can be minimized by allowing the product to fully absorb and letting the skin dry completely.
    This residual color is easily removed with water.
