      The Cicalfate+ Scar Gel helps to improve the appearance of scars. The custom-made formula protects and hydrates, promotes healthy tissue remodelling and improves skin comfort. Its gel texture forms a protective film and makes it easier to massage scars. It is recommended following surgical or dermatological procedures on the face and body, in adults and children (aged 1 year and above). Its high tolerance, fragrance-free formula provides an immediate soothing effect. The appearance of scars is visibly improved from 3 weeks.

        We recommend that you use Cicalfate+ Restoring Protective Cream as soon as the stitches are removed to restore the skin.

        Yes, it is very important to protect scars from the sun to prevent them from darkening and/or thickening. You can apply sunscreen directly on top of Cicalfate+ Scar Gel. Remember to apply a sufficient amount and to reapply every 2 hours at the most during prolonged exposure.

        There are several techniques depending on the colour of your scar. Start by applying a cream as a make-up base.
         1. Neutralise the colour by applying a Concealer Stick:
         - Yellow correction stick if the scar is blue-purple.
         - Green correction stick if the scar is red.
         - Coral correction stick if the scar is brown.
         Pick up the product with your fingertip and tap onto the scar until a grey, or light beige (on brown scars), shade is obtained.
         2. Prolong the wear of your concealer by spraying Avène Thermal Spring Water 20 cm from the scar. Let the thermal spring water evaporate.
